SCMS Past Seekers

Past Seekers

Past Seekers is an extracurricular group of eighth graders (and a few high school students!) interested in learning more about history. We travel to local historical sites to learn about our area, and we also journey to Shiloh National Battlefield in April to learn more about this Civil War Battle. The students are also involved in the Journey Through Hallowed Ground www.HallowedGround.org national project, researching information on Civil War Soldiers so each can be recognized in a National Heritage Area.

Our main fundraising project for our trip is a year-long calendar filled with pictures of our trip! The suggested donation is $20, which helps us to pay for our transportation to Shiloh. These are available through the school, and also Grangier Glass Company in Sellersburg. We would appreciate your support!
